At the helm are: Amanda Kelly, Evelyn Quinlan, Francine Ashe, Marna Hatton & Noelle O’Connell. A group of locally based, talented, artistic individuals, with a wide range of experience and expertise in producing and delivering creative and community events. Collectively, they are writers, readers, theatre makers, actors, musicians, educators and community facilitators, who all share a spirit of inclusion and belonging.
The “Power of Words Festival” will be a truly engaging weekend for people of all ages and palates. From first time and emerging writers, to notable established writers, the festival offers a selection of readings, discussions, writing workshops, poetry, children and teenage events, a selection of ‘Open Mic’ sessions, Café theatre and music.

This special weekend will also present the opportunity to appreciate and explore one of the first planned towns in Ireland, with a selection of guided heritage walks and talks on offer.

The ‘Power of Words’ Festival promises to be a feast for the curious. If your interest does not lie in books or ‘booky’ things, come along just to enjoy the atmosphere.
