From first time and emerging writers to notable established writers, this year’s festival offers a selection of events including readings, discussions, writing workshops, poetry, Open Mic. sessions, music and children’s events, all held in safe and Covid aware locations.

This special weekend will also present the opportunity to appreciate and explore one of the first planned towns in Ireland, with a number of guided heritage walks and talks on offer.

The Power of Words Festival will be a feast for the curious! If your interest doesn’t lie in writing or books and such, come along anyways and enjoy the atmosphere of this special town. Enjoy something to eat or drink in one of the many local cafes or pubs, all set up to look after you in a Covid safe way.

We look forward to welcoming you!
