About Sheila's Workshop

Crafting the Short Story
On this immersive workshop you will explore the elements of the short story.
• Plot – The sequence of events that drive the narrative.
 • Characterisation – Developing living breathing characters as intricate as any
human.
 • Conflict – There is no story without conflict. It can be internal or external.
 • Setting – The reader must feel they are being transported.
 • Theme- Explore the underlying message/current.

A short story is a complete piece of fiction with a beginning, middle and an ending.
This workshop is suitable for anyone who would like to begin fiction writing
or who might want a kick start back to it.
